The guide

Everything (almost) you need to use DZC.

How you get in, what's on hand, and the few house rules that keep the place humming. Whether it's your first day pass or your hundredth, this is your cheat sheet.

What's DZC?

Our goal with Drop Zone Cowork is to both provide productive work options for the Methow community and to create community in the Methow around work. Like many things in the Methow, DZC thrives through cooperation, collaboration, and consideration. As a member or visitor, you're now part of this too.

Getting set up.

The basics for your first few minutes in the door.

Access

Open 24/7.

As soon as you sign up you get instant access — we email you a 4-digit code that opens the front door, along with the Wi-Fi code. Come and go any hour.

Wi-Fi

Two networks.

Connect to “Drop Zone Cowork” for the fastest line and for printing. The Wi-Fi code arrives in the same email as your door code.

Printing

Print in color or B&W.

An HP LaserJet. Connect over the “Drop Zone Cowork” Wi-Fi (not the “2.4G” one), or plug in the USB cable.

  • Black & white$0.05 / page
  • Color$0.25 / page

Monthly members get 100 B&W + 25 color prints free every month.

Parking

Three spots + the street.

Three slots facing the river, between Drop Zone and Methow Rafting (formerly Methow Trails), are ours. You can also parallel park across the street. Please don't park directly in front of the sidewalk windows.

The space & what's on hand.

Rooms, nooks, and the little comforts.

Phone booths

Two booths, first-come.

Use a booth whenever you're actively talking on a call — if you're just listening in with headphones, your desk is fine. First-come, first-serve; need more time? Book the conference room.

  • Limit per person3 hours / day

Conference room

Book it ahead.

Monthly members get conference-room benefits and can reserve a slot online. Grab the room before you need it.

Reserve the room

Outside

Tables by the river.

The outdoor tables and benches are open to members and day-pass users. Please lower the umbrellas when you're done — the wind can pick up quickly.

Food & drink

Coffee on, snacks in.

  • Hot water and coffee to brew yourself, anytime.
  • A microwave and toaster for whatever you bring.
  • Sam's Snack Shop — limited snacks, sometimes sodas and energy bars depending on inventory. Please use the cash jar.

House etiquette.

A short list — mostly common courtesy so the open room stays a good place to work.

Calls

Keep it quiet.

DZC is generally a quiet, studious place. If you're mostly listening on a call with headphones, you can take it anywhere. If you're actively talking, please use a phone booth, book the conference room, or step outside.

Guests

Meet in the conference room.

Please keep guests out of the open work area. You're welcome to host them in the conference room instead.

Keep it nice

Leave it better.

Disinfecting spray is provided to wipe down your workspace. A little tidying after yourself goes a long way toward keeping DZC running smoothly for the next person.
